EDLD 5301 - Research - Week 1 Assignment
What I Learned About Action Research I learned many new concepts about action research. Action research definatley plays a main role in an administrators job. As a person who will be an administrator in technology, I can see where I would have to schedule time for research. Scheduling a small amount of time for this every day would be essential in daily processes. At some point, it will become second nature and part of your daily routine. Using the seven steps within the systematic approach would give you a set procedure and allow for a successful solution. Also, having others engage in the action research with you will allow more people to voice their opinion and feel a part of the solution. An example of this camaraderie that I would like to implement in the future is a learning community solely focusing on technology. This community would allow for teachers and administrators to discuss needs, wants, and the future of technology within the district. Strengths and weaknesses can be easily identified if you incorporate staff from all schools. This learning community would be a great way to have coordination between primary and secondary schools in keeping with technology application TEKS requirements. How Educational Leaders Might Use Blogs I can see several ways that an educational leader might use a blog. First of all, to give information to the reader. Whether its to let the reader know of something coming up, or after the fact. Another reason might be to just give their opinion on a topic, however this reason has to be used with caution! Lastly, an educational leader could use a blog just to give some facts or information. Blogs are what you make of them.
